Your work stays yours.
Studio Days is a private creative record. The native iPhone app keeps your journal on your device and does not send your entries, artwork, or usage data to us.
Native iPhone app
Work logs, projects, saved focus sessions, preferences, and artwork photos are stored on-device using Apple system frameworks. The native app has no account or cloud-sync service. Apple device backups may include app data according to your iPhone settings.
Photos and reminders
When you attach artwork, Apple’s photo picker shares only the images you select. Notification permission is requested only when you enable a local reminder. You can change notification access in iPhone Settings.
No tracking or advertising
The native app contains no ads, analytics, tracking technology, or third-party SDKs. We do not sell native-app data or use it for advertising.
Your native-app controls
- Export a JSON backup of work logs, artwork photos, projects, and saved focus sessions.
- Restore a native-app backup after reviewing the replacement confirmation.
- Delete individual entries and projects from their edit forms.
- Remove local app data by deleting the app from your iPhone. Copies you exported or saved in device backups are managed separately.
Journal exports do not include app preferences or reminder settings. CSV export and the website’s Reset studio feature belong to the web companion.
Optional web companion
The website shares your journal between signed-in Mac and phone browsers. You can import a native-app backup, including artwork photos, into the website. When you sign in through its hosting platform, your account identifier associates saved web data and uploaded artwork with your account. Studio Days does not receive your password. The web companion does not automatically sync with the native iPhone app.
Web data use
Web data is used to save and display your journal, synchronize web sessions, and provide search, project progress, insights, and exports. Your browser also keeps an account-specific local copy for offline use. Overlapping edits are retained for your review instead of silently overwritten. Signing out does not erase that account’s offline copy from the device; use trusted devices and manage browser storage when you no longer need it.
Retention and copies
You can delete web entries and projects or reset your web journal in Settings. Previously uploaded artwork files may remain in hosted storage after their entry is removed; contact support to request removal of hosted data. Exported backups remain wherever you save them. Web connections use HTTPS.
